Why over-cackle a waste product while the input material is the planet's radiation shield vanishing ?

I agree with you that the increase in CO2 is the least of our worries since the atmospheric level of it is still less than half of what it was when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. However, you are forgetting about the magnetosphere and all kinds of other factors. One thing is for sure, at our current rate of population expansion the planet cannot sustain us for even another few hundred years so another planetary "reset" is inevitable whether it be famine, disease, economic collapse, cosmic catastrophe, or just plain human ignorance (lunatic pushes the on). After finding a cast-iron hammer in cretaceous rock that is about 100 million years old and a spark plug like device in a geode 10,000 years old, have we not been doing this cycle for millions of years already. Planetary floods, fires, comets, holocausts, and pestilences have been resetting mankind for millions of years now. Rant all you want but there is absolutely nothing you can do about it anyways, so just grab a candy bar and watch some TV, life is good while it lasts.
