Fish tank water turning pinkish red?

Recently, I noticed that the water in my fish tank was turning a weird pinkish red color. I'm pretty sure it's not because of the lighting, but could it possibly be from their food? They are eating the Tetra Fin goldfish food i think, and the water is about the same color. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?
