How do I hook up my junk amp to my crappy speakers?

OK, I know you think my sh*t is weak, when I win the lotto I'll go out and buy a system that will make my winsheild flex 4 inches like that video on YouTube, but for now lets just get this garbage sounding good. Trying to hook up two Rockford Fosgate RFP3412's to Lanzar Vibe 226. Hooked it up today and it sounds like dog poop. Am I suppose to hook the - from the "bridgeable" on the amp to the - on one speaker, and the + from the "bridgeable" on the amp to the + on the OTHER speaker and connect a wire from the - on one speaker to the + on the OTHER speaker ? Get what Im sayin? I have them hooked up left and right separate channels now and it does not sound good. The subs are in a ported bandp box, kind of facing eachother at an angle. I have no idea what im doing, but logic tells me that since the subs are in the same chamber (unseparated) they should be pushing at the same time not separate left and right channels but I dont know what an ohm is and dont want to catch my car on fire.
