Does proactiv really work?/ keratosis pilaris?

My 13 year-old daughter is starting to get small pimples and blackheads on her face. She also has keratosis pilaris on her face. We have been trying, unsuccessfully, to deal with the keratosis pilaris for 3 years now. (We saw a dermatologist for it. ) Money is an issue. We have insurance, but it doesn't pay for much. We wanted to try "Proativ" before we go to a dermatologist. Does it really work? What would it do for my daughter's keratosis pilaris? I was also wondering if I would be locked into some sort of "club" if I ordered it; would I be locked into a monetary contract for a year?
